Project Description

Minijatura is a revisiting of my very first web design project, reimagined years later through a more mature understanding of visual hierarchy, user experience and emotional design. Instead of simply presenting a cafe and its menu, the redesign asks a different question: can a website make someone almost feel the place before visiting it?

Key Design/Development Directions

The concept was built around making the user almost smell and taste the coffee while scrolling. Warm coffee-inspired tones, close-up imagery, rich textures, expressive typography and a slower visual rhythm recreate the atmosphere of a cozy cafe: freshly brewed coffee, warmth, conversation and the small ritual of sitting down for a cup. The content flow intentionally sells the feeling around the product before the product itself. The important trade-off was atmosphere versus usability, so sensory storytelling is strongest in the visual sections while menus, key information and actions remain clear and easy to scan. The desired reaction is not only to understand what Minijatura offers, but to imagine the taste and atmosphere strongly enough to want to experience it in person.

Project Outcome

The project became a more mature reinterpretation of my first web design, transforming a simple cafe website into an experience driven by atmosphere, emotion and sensory storytelling.
