Project Description

A hospitality website redesign concept focused on making the hotel experience feel more contemporary, trustworthy and easier to book while keeping Sarajevo and the destination experience present in the story. The design had to support two user needs at once: quickly evaluate practical stay information and emotionally imagine what the visit could feel like.

Key Design/Development Directions

Hotel booking involves uncertainty, so the first UX priority was reassurance: room information, services, location and booking actions need to be easy to find and compare. Destination imagery and storytelling were then used to create aspiration, but not before the essential decision-making information was visible. The trade-off was between selling the experience and respecting the user’s task; too much destination content would slow booking, while a purely transactional interface would make the hotel feel interchangeable. Stronger hierarchy, large imagery and visible calls to action were used to keep those layers in balance. The concept therefore treats trust as the foundation and emotion as the reason to choose, rather than the other way around.

Project Outcome

The concept demonstrates how usability, reassurance and destination storytelling can work together to support a stronger booking journey.
