Project Description

An early website redesign concept for FK Zeljeznicar, created to modernize the club’s digital presence without weakening the identity, history and emotional attachment that already exist between the club and its supporters. The site therefore had to work both as an information platform and as a digital extension of fan culture.

Key Design/Development Directions

Sports audiences often arrive emotionally invested but task-focused, looking for fixtures, results, news or club updates quickly. I used stronger hierarchy, bold typography and higher contrast to match the intensity of the sport while keeping essential information easy to scan. The biggest design judgment was to modernize without replacing familiar identity cues with a generic contemporary sports aesthetic. Existing colours and recognizable brand elements remain anchors, while layout and typography carry the modernization. The trade-off was deliberate: preserve emotional continuity first, then improve clarity and freshness around it. As an early concept, the project also became an exercise in learning how to redesign a brand that already belongs emotionally to its community.

Project Outcome

The concept created a clearer content structure and became an early exploration of translating a strong existing sports identity into a modern digital interface.
