Project Description
I developed a custom WordPress plugin to import and maintain real-estate listings from OLX inside ASA Banka’s website. The project started from a workflow problem: the same property data had to be entered manually and checked again whenever a listing changed or became unavailable, creating repetitive work and a risk of outdated public information.
Key Design/Development Directions
The core decision was to avoid maintaining two separate data sources by hand. I treated OLX as the external source and WordPress as the presentation layer, then mapped listing data into the bank’s existing property structure. The plugin checks whether an item already exists, creates or updates the correct post and synchronizes relevant information and statuses without producing duplicates. A generic import solution would have required the bank to adapt its content model to the tool; the custom approach did the opposite and adapted the logic to the existing workflow. The priority was not technical complexity for its own sake, but a reliable process that reduces manual intervention and keeps public listings current.
Project Outcome
The workflow reduced manual administration, saved time and resources, and made property information faster and more reliable to maintain.
