Project Description
I contributed to the redesign of ASA Banka’s mobile banking experience from research and concept development through UI design, vendor collaboration, testing and manual QA. The work had to balance user expectations with banking security, existing product logic and technical implementation constraints, so design decisions were grounded in client surveys, competitor analysis and market research rather than visual trends alone.
Key Design/Development Directions
Research was used to decide what users should see first, which tasks deserved priority and where the previous experience created friction. The hierarchy was built around a simple principle: users should feel informed and in control without searching through the app. I deliberately kept familiar banking patterns where predictability supports trust, while introducing improvements such as a finance manager, self-service reactivation and Dark Mode where they removed real friction or added control. Dynamic pre-login visuals inspired by Bosnia and Herzegovina add emotion before the functional banking environment begins, but the authenticated interface remains restrained so financial data stays dominant. Designs were refined with internal teams and external vendors, then validated through manual QA and test cases, with implementation findings feeding back into further improvements.
Project Outcome
The redesign created a more intuitive banking experience with clearer financial information, simpler payment flows and new self-service functionality, while also opening the app as a channel for relevant product offers.
