Project Description

SkyNova is a self-directed airline booking concept built around one idea: booking a flight should feel like the first step of the adventure, not simply the purchase of a ticket. The challenge was to add excitement and travel desire without weakening the clarity of a task that still needs to be fast and functional.

Key Design/Development Directions

Travel is often an emotional purchase, so the design creates anticipation before asking the user to convert. Bright colours, destination imagery and playful composition communicate possibility and movement, while the booking module remains visually dominant so users never have to search for the primary task. Hot Deals and destination content work as discovery triggers for users who arrive without a fixed plan. The central trade-off was inspiration versus efficiency: too much visual storytelling could distract from search, while a purely functional booking interface would miss the emotional reason people travel. The final flow is designed to move users from inspiration, to curiosity, to search, and finally to booking without forcing those stages.

Project Outcome

The concept demonstrates how emotional UX and visual storytelling can turn a functional flight search into an experience that actively encourages travel intent.
