Project Description
A website concept for Optika Bulevar built around changing the perception of eyewear from a medical necessity into a fashion choice, an accessory and a source of confidence. The challenge was to shift the emotional frame without losing the trust and clarity expected from an optical business.
Key Design/Development Directions
The central psychological shift is from ‘I need glasses’ to ‘I get to choose how I look in glasses.’ Fashion-led imagery, editorial layouts and product-first presentation make frames feel closer to personal style than medical equipment. This reframing can reduce the negative association of having to wear a corrective aid and replace it with choice, self-expression and confidence. The trade-off was not to make the site so fashion-focused that practical information or professional credibility disappeared. The concept therefore uses aspirational visuals to create desire, while keeping navigation and product information clear enough to reassure users that style and function are both being taken seriously.
Project Outcome
The concept demonstrates how reframing a necessary product through design can reduce clinical associations and create a more confident, fashion-oriented shopping experience.
