Project Description
A responsive ReactJS implementation of a premium bedding e-commerce homepage, developed as part of a technical assignment for a frontend position. Because the visual direction was provided in Figma, the challenge was not to redesign the experience, but to understand the design logic and translate static screens into maintainable, responsive and interactive code.
Key Design/Development Directions
The main judgment was how to preserve visual fidelity without writing a page as one large, brittle component. I broke the interface into reusable React sections and data-driven elements so repeated patterns could be maintained consistently. Responsive behaviour was treated as interpretation rather than simple scaling: the same visual priorities needed to survive when the available space changed. Product filtering, hover states, mobile navigation, rotating messages and review carousels were added so the design behaved naturally once interactive. The trade-off was fidelity versus code quality, and the goal was to achieve both by matching the provided design closely while still using a component structure that could realistically be extended.
Project Outcome
The project demonstrates the ability to move from a detailed Figma file to a polished, responsive and well-structured React implementation.
